Now in case of Black-Jack, you are not competing against any player but against the dealer. The goal here is to get a hand having card value of 21 but no more than that. The rule of the game is to get a perfect hand like 21, but getting more than 21 will bust you from the game. Now each cards hold some points, like Queens, Kings and Jacks are of 10 each. While aces are may be of 1 or 11 points, depending on the better positioning of your hand. The best hand is of 21 points consists of a card of 10 points and an Ace of 11 points.
Now here comes the important portion, some rules. The game begins when players have finished placing their bids. Now the dealer distribute cards and each player will get 2 cards one shown to all and another facing down. Now its the players decision whether he/she wants when to hit ans when to stand. Now when you are hitting, the dealer will ask you whether you want to raise the value of the card. But be careful that should not increase 21. Now when you get satisfied, then stand the game. If at the end, the players hand is more than dealers, then he/she will win getting 1:1 and if exactly 21 then 3:2.
But what matters the more is more and more practice, as practice makes perfect.
