Old strategies like card counting in Black jack

The first strategy manual for blackjack was published by Roger Baldwin in 1956. Then In 1962 Edward Thorp published his card counting theory. Thorp’s book “Beat the Dealer” was on the New York Times best sellers list and did much to publicize the game of blackjack. In the 1970s, Ken Uston used card counting with his team and with mini computers hidden in their shoes they made a lot of money. But card counting was not easy. The casinos went to court and so the use of mechanical devices by players were banned. Football bets

In 1980 Bill Kaplan and his team of MIT students found a new sophisticated method of card counting. This team, known as the MIT Blackjack Team, operated profitably in the era. Lastly the casinos used measures like mechanical shufflers and discarded shoes which almost ended the art of card counting.
